What do you like most about being a dentist?
Dr. Murray really enjoys helping each patient have a pleasant experience in the dental chair with quality treatment and customer service. Being able to maintain a wonderful dentist/patient relationship that lasts for many years (and hopefully a lifetime) is always rewarding!
Where did you study
dentistry?
A native of New Haven, CT, Dr. Murray achieved his undergraduate degree at Hampton University. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery and his AEGD certification at Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia (MCV). He is additionally certified in CEREC CAD/CAM dentistry, straight wire orthodontics, and Invisalign Clear Aligners.
Dr. Murray holds the rank of officer in the United States Army National Guard and serves as the State Dental Officer and Commander for the Delaware Army National Guard/Joint Forces Headquarters. He is an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Alexandria, VA, as well as College for Kids, which is an organization that assists and encourages elementary school aged children to experience college. He is currently a member of the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Orthodontic Society.
Outside of the dental office,
what do you like to do?
In his free time, Dr. Murray’s top priority is spending quality time with his wife and two daughters.
